The Direct Selling Companies highly praised the consumer affairs ministry for the guidelines, which industry executives said would remove fraudulent players, help serious companies grow, protect consumers and disallow e-commerce platforms from offering their products without consent.

Two association Federation of Direct Selling Association (FDSA) and India Direct Selling Association (IDSA)  are  working to boost the business of Direct Sellers/Direct Marketers by giving membership of their respective association to attain the benchmark and quality standard  in the eyes of the customers/consumers and protect the consumers from serious fraudulent activities. The businesses need to pay big amount towards membership

The membership with Federation of Direct Selling Association (FDSA) and India Direct Selling Association (IDSA) are voluntary in nature but approval  from  the Ministry of Consumer Affairs of India  is mandatory to operate Direct Selling Business and operating  e-commerce platforms  In India.

However, the new start-ups  and  small private limited companies/Limited Liability Partnership  found difficult to pay huge amount to Federation of Direct Selling Association (FDSA) and India Direct Selling Association (IDSA)   as membership fees can take only  take approval from  Ministry of Consumer Affairs of India in line with prescribed guidelines for Direct Selling Businesses In India to start the direct selling businesses at the initial level.

Contrarily, the Big Companies  are recommended to take membership of  either Federation of Direct Selling Association (FDSA) or India Direct Selling Association (IDSA) for better operation and smooth functioning of direct selling businesses  across country with image building at National Level.
