Format of amended DIR-2 – As per Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Amendment Rules, 2022

Every individual who wishes to become a director in any company needs to provide a declaration for Appointment and Qualification in Form DIR-2. Form DIR-2 is the consent to act as a director of the proposed company. It contains details of DIN/ PAN, Name, Address, Contact Details, Occupation Details of each director of a company.

MCA vide its Notification dated 1st June 2022 have updated format of DIR-2 pursuant to amendment vide Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Amendment Rules, 2022 in Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Director)  Rules, 2014

I further declare that if appointed my total Directorship in all the companies shall not  exceed the prescribed number of companies in which a person can be appointed as a Director.

I am not required to obtain the security clearance from the Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India before seeking appointment as Director
