Form 11 is Form for filing Annual Return of Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) with the Registrar.
When is Form 11 required to be filed?
Form 11 is to be filed within 60 days of closure of its financial year. Therefore, the due date is 30th May.
Is the due date of Form 11 extended for the financial year 2019-2020?
Yes, due date of Form 11 for the financial year 2019-2020 has been extended upto 30th September, 2020.
This is with reference to General Circular No. 13/2020 dated 30.03.2020 w.r.t LLP Modified Settlement Scheme, 2020 which states that any LLP is eligible to file documents which were due for filing till 31st August, 2020 without any penalty.
This means that due to LLP Modified Settlement Scheme, 2020 LLP’s can file their Form 11 for the financial year 2019-2020 upto 30th September, 2020 without any late fees i.e. only on payment of basic fees since 30th May, 2020 falls before the period mentioned in General Circular No. 13/2020 which is 31st March, 2020.
What is the penalty if Form 11 is not filed upto 30th September, 2020?
If the LLP does not file Form 11 upto 30th September, 2020 the penalty shall be Rs. 100/- per day w.e.f 31st May, 2020.
