Subject : Request for extension of date for empanelment of Chartered Accountant firms with your good office for the year 2016-17.
Dear Sir,
The empanelment process of Chartered Accountant firms (firm) and Limited Liability Partnership firm (LLP) for allotment of audit of Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory Corporations for the year 2016-17. The desired firms were allowed to fill the online forms till 15th February 2016.
However, since 12th February, the site is not working. The matter has been taken up with the department which assured to resolve the issue. But being 13th & 14 th ,i.e. Saturday & Sunday, the matter has not been resolved and if the matter shall be resolve on Monday, again it may have problem being hit by number of willing firms in one day.
The firms were also not able to fill it at their earliest being the constitution certificates of the firms are yet to be uploaded at ICAI site and changes if any till 1st January has to be confirmed by ICAI. The information submitted by the applicant firms is subject to verification with the details to be provided by ICAI. The unmatched information shall be treated as suppression of material information and the firm would stand disqualified . Hence reconstitution certificate/ status as on 1/01/2016 must be in the hands of willing firms to apply to your good office.
In these circumstances, you are requested to extend the date of online submission and date of sending acknowledgement to your good office.
You are requested to take the necessary steps in this regard.

C & A G- The Last date of filing online application for 2016-17 has been extended to 22 February 2016.
Statement of facts are correct. C&AG should extend the date for empanelment with C&AG by CA. Firm’ ICAI also not updated firm’s constitution as on 01/01/2016.
