Human Embryo is classified under ITC (HS) Code 0511 99 99 of Chapter 5 of ITC (HS) 2012, Schedule 1 (Import Policy). Import of Human Embryo will be ‘free’ subject to a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Accordingly, the import policy under EXIM Code 0511 99 99 is revised as under:

Now, in addition to ports/ICDs indicated in para 2 above, export of finished leather, Wet Blue and EI Tanned Leather would also be permitted through ICDs/CFSs as identified/notified by the Customs at Chennai, Mumbai & Kolkata. No export or import of an item shall be allowed under Advance Authorisation / DFIA if the item is prohibited for exports or imports respectively. Export of a prohibited item may be allowed under Advance Authorisation provided it is separately so notified subject to the conditions given therein.
An EOU / EHTP / STP / BTP unit may export all kinds of goods and services except items that are prohibited in ITC (HS). Export of Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET) shall be subject to fulfillment of the conditions indicated in ITC (HS).
Conditions and modalities for registration of contracts for export of sugar with DGFT were given in the two policy circulars referred above. One of the conditions [condition at Para 2(i) of Policy Circular No. 63 dated 16.05.2012] was the upper limit of 25,000 MTs
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government, with immediate effect, hereby re-notifies Chapter 27 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items.
As per Article 10 of European Union Regulation (EC) No. 891/2009 of 25.9.2009 “release for free circulation for the quotas of CXL concession sugar with order no.09.4321 shall be subject to the presentation of a certificate of origin issued by the competent authority of the third country concerned in accordance with articles 55 to 65 of Regulation (EEC) No. 2454/93”. Accordingly, the entries to be made in the export authorization document EUR and GSP are as follows.
