Sub:-Pathetic work on scrutiny of GST returns;m/r.

As you are aware that we had developed the software for scrutiny of GST returns and we were the first in the department to initiate the scrutiny, which was kicked off from 01.06.2020.

As of now, more than 3 months have been passed and number of returns scrutinised by your superintendents are hopeless. Incidences have also come to my notice where the officers were making nuisance excuses to avoid the work. Now it’s time to fix all such useless elements.

It is hereby directed that now onwards each range superintendent will do preliminary scrutiny of minimum 100 returns and detailed scrutiny of minimum 25 returns in a month. As the program is working smoothly, no baseless excuses in terms of technical difficulties will be appreciated. Let me clear that I am not in mood to spare any non performer and they should be ready for tough calls.

Further, let me clear that for poor work, respective AC should also ready for music on account of supervisory failure. I hope the tone and tenor of my letter is quite clear.
