    WHAT IS MEANING OF OPENING INCOME TAX OFFICE ON 29/09/2012 & 30/09/2012 WHEN
    INCOME TAX RETURN FILED THROUGH ONLINE IN AUDIT CASE EDIT CASE AND BANKIG TRANSACTION STOP THEAS DAY.

  2. KRISHNAMURTHY says:

    To fecilitate the tax payers for remitting the taxes through e-payment one is instructions to the bankers or extend atleast upto monday i.e., 1st of october 2012.

  3. CA. A. JOHN MORIS says:

    CBDT SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED THE DATE TO 1 ST OCTober 2012, INSTEAD OF GIVING TWO DAYS UNNECESSARY HARASSMENT FOR THE IT STAFF.

    BANK LEAVE ISSUE ALSO SHOULD HAVE SOLVED FOR TAX PAYMENTS.

    SMALL LEVEL PRACTICAL THOUGHTS ARE NOW A DAYS MISSING

  4. R Mohan says:

    What is the use of keeping the IT office open, when banks have closed their online tax payment facility? I tried paying online tax through corporation bank and the bank is keeping it pending as ‘Under process’. When contacted, the bank officials are stating that the bank is planning to keep the online tax payment closed for both today and tomorrow.

    Why should I pay 234A interest on the amount for which I have already presented the challan to the bank through ‘online’ and there is balance available in my account?

    Last year, the same bank allowed online tax payment facility till 6 PM on the 30th of September, whereas this year they have closed it fully without any prior intimation.

    Is the Government going to issue instructions to the banks to allow online tax payment facility?

  5. CA.Rubbal Bhandari says:

    It’s really good on Board’s part. But the question still is that the Banks are closed for two days on 29th and 30th september. So the assessee cannot pay their taxes. In such a case will the due date be deemed to be 1st October??????

    Please comment.

  6. Surrender says:

    That is hardly of any consequence as the Assessees covered by 44AB are to e-file online and how could opening of IT Offices help such e-assessees; Extension of due date for e-filing would be expected, which may be announced only after majority have filed by 30.09.2012;
