Investors can buy and sell mutual funds units like shares from 07th December 2009

SEBI exempted SMEs from usual eligibility norms applicable for IPO

SMEs, which depend on expensive loans and stocks and raise money from the public. The regulator has decided to allow registered brokers (including trading members) of stock exchanges to provide security market access to their clients through authorised persons.
