As notified in the ‘Implementation Schedule’ on the Institute website, students who are pursuing Professional Competence Course (PCC) are hereby informed that the Professional Competence Examination (PCE) will be discontinued on culmination of November, 2012 examination.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Final Examination in Paper 8 – Indirect Tax Laws, and the Post Qualification Course(s) Examination(s) in Management Accountancy, Corporate Management, Tax Management, and Insurance and Risk Management, scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 18th November, 2012 in the Examination Centre(s) in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai [Zone I to Zone XI], Thane, and Panvel stand postponed.

The top three rank holders on all India basis of Chartered Accountants Final Examinations held in May, 2012 are from Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore respectively and their details along with the marks secured by them are mentioned at Annexure-A. The result details of the Final examination in terms of pass percentage are mentioned at Annexure-B.

No. 13-CA (EXAM)/N/2012: In pursuance of Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify that the Professional Competence Examination (PCE), Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE) and Final examinations will be held on the dates given below at the following centres provided that sufficient number of candidates offer themselves to appear from each centre.

A girl student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan after she remained unsuccessful in Chartered Accountant (CA) exams in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

PCE (Professional Competence Examination) candidates should note the changed sequence of papers (as given in the time table printed on reverse of Admit Card) for May, 2012 examinations and that the examination for Group-I will commence on 3 rd May,2012 and Group-II will commence on 08th May, 2012. Further all the IPCE UNIT candidates should check that their admit card is for the applicable Unit, otherwise they should inform the Institute in writing requesting for correction and should appear only in papers of respective Unit.

Examination Department of the Institute would like to avail the services of the members of the Institute (upto 15 years of Experience) to act as Checker, other details are as under: The Examination Department of the Institute avails the services of resource persons (members of the Institute, academicians, executives, etc.) to act as Examiners to evaluate the answer books of Chartered Accountants Examinations (Final/IPCE/PCE). Each examiner is required to appoint a person as his checker to inter-alia perform the following functions besides assisting him in the preparation of Award List.
