The elections to the 21st Central Council and the 20th Regional Councils of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) ran into rough weather after a booth capturing incident. At least four unidentified men, including one toting a pistol, stormed an ICAI election booth atVaishali (near Ghaziabad) on Saturday, tampering the ballot box and stuffing ballot papers, sources said. Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone! Full Article
