The new Companies Bill, which seeks to replace the legislation enacted way back in 1952, is likely to be approved by Parliament in the monsoon session, corporate secretary R Bandyopadhay said on Thursday. The new Companies Bill with stricter corporate governance norms is expected to be enacted by the end of this year, Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said today. Companies Bill 2009, which lapsed with the dissolution of the 14th Lok Sabha, was reintroduced in the Lok Sabha in August last year.
