Notification No. 42/2010 – Customs (N.T.) mentioning rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currency w.e.f. 1st June, 2010

Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby determines that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currency specified in column (2) of each of Schedule I and Schedule II annexed hereto into Indian currency or vice versa shall, with effect from 1st June, 2010 be the rate mentioned against it in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof, for the purpose of the said section, relating to imported and export goods.

No plans to ban futures in more commodities – Finmin

The government said on Tuesday it has no proposal to ban futures trading in more commodities. Since the Abhijit Sen Committee could not establish any definite causal relationship between futures trading and rise in prices of commodities, there is no proposal to ban futures trading in more commodities, minister of state for finance P K Bansal said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
