Salman Khan acquitted of tax evasion charges made against him

Salman Khan has been acquitted of tax evasion charges that were made against him.

According to Express India the Bombay High Court has dismissed a case which was filed by the Income Tax Department against the actor.

The case accused Khan of declaring his income for the year 1999-2000 as Rs 2,95,09,771 when he had actually earned Rs 4,63,64,106. Investigators charged the actor in 2006 after re-assessing his accounts.

However, the Income Tax Commissioner threw out the allegations, dismissed the investigators findings and rejected pleas to reopen the case.

Why I.T. Dept not collecting so much outstanding tax dues? If they collect it, then this fund can be use by govt. for various social development (only incase political leader should not use for their personal use). I.T. Dept. not using their power on high income earner who are not paying tax to the govt. through manipulating their accounts. Thats why we are not forward in the world.
