How to know CIBIl Rating & Access Credit Information Report?

Want to know you CIBIl rating? Access your Credit Information Report (CIR) from CIBIL

You can now access your Credit Information Report (CIR) directly from CIBIL. As you may be aware, your CIBIL CIR is a factual record of your credit payment history compiled from information received from credit grantors. The purpose is to help credit grantors make informed lending decisions – quickly and objectively, and enable faster processing of your credit applications to help provide you speedier access to credit at better terms.

You can request for a copy of your CIBIL CIR in three quick steps through Email, Mail, Telephone or Fax. Detailed information is given in the file attached below:-

Access your Credit Information Report (CIR) from CIBIL

In order to avail a copy of your own CIBIL credit report, kindly send the duly filled Credit Information Report Request Form (attached herewith), along with the self attested hard copies of your valid Address Proof, valid Identity Proof and a Demand Draft of Rs 142/- in favour of Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited.

Further there is a procedure of cross checking the CIBIL status as (negative) claimed by any Lending Bank or Institution.

You should approach such credit institution, which has drawn a report on you and denied the credit application, for the control number of the credit report. The control number is a nine digit unique number starting with “3 or 4″ that helps CIBIL to track the same report from their database.

This can be utilised by anybody who is either aggrieved by the credit report drawn by any credit institution or intends to seek credit in future.

    sir, In reference to Letter No: LB/SBI/East/May-08/7104,Dt:12 May,2008 of Manager, Payments assistance Unit
    I had paid Rs.3120/- as full and final payment in the month of January,2009 for my outstanding dues against SBI Card No:4317575074077158 and then after I never received any statement or phone call for outstanding dues if any.But it is regret to say how the SBI card team has kept my name for Rs 50,000/- as the last letter I received from the team mentioned above for Rs.2382.66.
    Due to the wrong information and display my name in your website the SBI,Madhurawada,Visakhapatnam had regretted my home loan requsition.
    In this regard I request you to kindly delete my name from list so that I can have a home loan from SBI,Madhurawada,Visakhapatnam branch.

    I got “No due certificate” for SBI credit card head qrs. against SBI card No:4317575074077158 vide reference No;MQ0103540026334,Dt:20.12.11.How can I know that the information at CIBIL is related to this SBI card or any else.I am in need of home loan for which SBI branch is not in position to accept the “No due certificate”.Please any one help me.

    I don’t understand why one should pay money to Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd. for knowing his credit rating. It should be free for all. RBI and/or Ministry of Finance should do something in this matter in view of public interest.
