Sharad Pawar forgot few zeroes while declaring assets – BJP

PANAJI: Ridiculing the disclosure of assets by union cabinet ministers, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa said agriculture minister Sharad Pawar must have “forgotten to add a few zeroes”.   Pawar disclosed his assets to be worth Rs 12 crore.

“He (Pawar) must have forgotten to add a few zeroes (to the Rs 12 crore),” said leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar.

“Or has Pawar forgotten to understand the meaning of zeroes now?” Parrikar, a former chief minister, said on Monday.

BJP president Nitin Gadkari has appointed Parrikar to head the newly created good governance cell to promote better administration in BJP ruled states.

Minister of urban development Kamal Nath is the richest in the cabinet with over Rs.263 crore while defence minister AK Antony seems to be the poorest with Rs 35 lakh.
