CBI registers four new cases regarding manipulation in AIIMS Entrance Exams
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered four new cases regarding manipulation in AIIMS entrance exams in the on-going investigation of a case registered on 2nd June 2011 pertaining to manipulation and rigging of AIIMS PG Entrance Exam 2011, held on 8th May 2011 in which six persons including kingpin had been arrested.
During the investigation it came to notice that the group of persons involved in the said exam had also manipulated various entrance exams conducted by AIIMS since January 2010. Accordingly four new cases have been registered by CBI pertaining to the examinations mentioned below:-
The first case registered by CBI pertains to rigging of the results of All India P. G. Entrance Exam conducted by AIIMS in January 2010. In the said exam, OMR Answer Sheets of seven candidates were interpolated and as a result of the same all the seven candidates succeeded in getting admissions in MD/MS courses in different Medical colleges of India.
The Second case registered by CBI pertains to rigging of result of AIIMS U.G. (MBBS) Entrance Exam held by AIIMS on June 2010. In this exam the OMR Answer Sheets of six candidates were interpolated and as result of the same one candidate succeeded in getting admission in MBBS course in AIIMS.
The third case registered by CBI pertains to rigging of AIIMS P.G. Entrance Exam held by AIIMS in November 2010. In this exam the OMR Answer Sheets of eight candidates were interpolated. As a result all the eight candidates were successful in getting ranks in the merit list and out of them three candidates also took admission in MD/MS in different departments in AIIMS.
The fourth case registered by CBI pertains to rigging of AIl India P.G. Entrance Exam conducted by AIIMS in January 2011. In this exam the OMR Answer Sheets of four candidates were interpolated and as a result all the four candidates had succeeded in getting admissions in MD/MS courses in different medical colleges of India.
All the four cases are under investigation.
