CBI arrests a field officer of State Bank of India in a bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a field officer (Loans) of State Bank of India, Main Branch, Shillong along with a middleman for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the complainant.
It was alleged in the complaint that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the complainant for processing and sanctioning of loan to purchase a commercial vehicle. CBI registered a case U/s 120 B of IPC & Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 against the accused. A trap was laid and both the accused were arrested for demanding and accepting of a bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the complainant.
