DGFT- Authorising EIC for issuing Certificate of Origin under India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA)

Public Notice No. 58 /2009-2014 (RE-2010), The 30th June, 2011

Subject:  Authorising EIC for issuing Certificate of Origin under India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA) – Addition of ‘India-Malaysia Comprehensive  Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA)’ in the Heading of  Appendix 4D of Handbook of Procedures Vol-I, 2009-2014.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes an addition in the heading of Appendix

4D of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I, 2009-2014, as described in para 2 below. Last such addition was done as per our Public Notice No. 26/2009-2014 dated 23rd December 2009.

2.         In the heading, the phrase “and India – Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)” would be replaced by “India – Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

(CEPA) and India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA)”.

3.         There is no change in the content of the Appendix 4D, and hence EIC continues to be the authorised agency.

4.         Effect of Public Notice:

EIC would also be the authorised agency to issue Certificate of Origin under India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA), with effect from 1st July 2011.
