Custom Duty – Amends notification no. 23/2010 – Exempts parts, components and accessories for the manufacture of mobile handsets; sub-parts for the manufacture of such parts and components; and parts or components for the manufacture of battery chargers and hands-free headphones of such mobile handsets
Notification No. 19 /2011-Customs, New Delhi, the 1st March, 2011
G.S.R. (E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 23/2010- dated
27th February, 2010, published vide G.S.R. 136(E), dated the 27th February 2010, namely:-
In the said notification, for the words “parts or components for the manufacture of battery chargers and hands-free headphones of such mobile handsets”, the words “parts or components for the manufacture of battery chargers, PC connectivity cables and hands-free headphones of such mobile handsets and sub-parts for the manufacture of such parts and components” shall be substituted.
Note:- The principal notification no. 23/2010-Customs, dated the 27th February, 2010 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 136(E), dated the 27th February, 2010.
