ICAI to increase stipend for CA Articles
A minimum stipend offered to the CA aspirants doing articleship at CA firms will be hiked by 2.5 times to 3 times, president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) Jaydeep Shah announced here today. Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of a conference of CA students, Shah said the amount of stipend varies and depends upon areas fixed by the ICAI like an urban or semi-urban etc. A CA aspirant has to compulsorily undergo three and half years of articleship and get trained at CA firms after clearing first of the two Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) groups. He said if someone is getting a stipend of Rs 1,000 per month would now get between Rs 2500 and Rs 3,000. He also said that the ICAI has made large investments over the years for different initiatives. Shah claimed that it is still much less costly to do a CA course compared to other professional courses in India. Welcoming the ICAI move to increase the stipend, an office bearer of local chapter of ICAI, M J Parsiya said, “It is a welcome step and will act as morale booster for many as stipend hike will come handy in planning their monthly expenses.” “Stipend amount depends on the population of the city, size of the CA firm and its ability to pay the CA aspirants under articleship,” he said.

Getting stipend of Rs 3000 to 5000 and surviving in big cities like Bangalore n Chennai is very difficult for the students .

Dear students,
Please note that the concept of stipend is surely not to lure you with money. It is to only compensate you for the time spent on job. You should understand that there is nothing that stops the institute from prescribing a higher amount. The only reason Institute does not do it is to KEEP YOU AWAY FROM MONEY. Once you see money you are lured by it and may loose focus which is to qualify and become a CA. Also you need to understand that you also learn when on the job. Stipend is only incidental. The main objective of training is that you learn.
I hope the rhetoric of the amount will come down.

PLEASE INCREASE STIPEND
IT IS INFORMED TO ALL THE STAFF MEMBER OF CA INSTITUTE THAT AS U KNOW INFLATION IS INCREASING DAY BY DAY BUT EVEN THEN TODAY ARTICLE ASSITANTS ARE NOT BEING PAID STIPEND AT SUCH RATE SO THAT THEY CAN EASILY RECOVER THEIR CONVEYENCE, OUR HONOURABLE PRESIDENT Mr. JAYDEEP SHAH SAID 3 MONTH AGO, STIPEND WILL BE INCREASED BY 2.5 TO 3 TIMES BUT IT WAS NOT INCREASED YET PLEASE TELL ME SIR WHEN IT WILL BE APPLICABLE WHEREAS IT IS A RIGHT TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT AND TAKE SUCH STEP WHICH MAKE ALL ARTICLE ASSISTANTS HAPPY.

CA institute will benefit only to the Principals. they are least bothered about students as they have already qualified. its natural insjustice for the whole students community.

yr sach mei yeh toh batado kb increment hoga n if CA pay karne ke capable ho but phir bhi na kare toh uske liye kya kare……..

minimum stipend for CA Articles is only Rs1000 per month and CA professtional fees for one ITR is Rs1500 and it takes only some hrs……………
