Certain instances of some conmen/fraudsters posing as CBI officers / acquaintances of CBI officers and trying to extort money and / or favours from the general public / public servants have come to the notice of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Such imposters generally approach unsuspecting members of the public / public servants and offer to 'settle complaints/cases' in exchange for money or favours.
